United Nations - China on Thursday assumed the presidency of UN Security Council during November, with the commitment to strengthen multilateralism and make more transparent management in that body.

The Chinese representation also seeks to improve the interaction with the non-members of the Council, particularly the countries that figure in the working agenda of that body, in order to fulfill the responsibilities in a more open and transparent way.

According to the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, they will continue their commitment to promote the UN Charter's principles, unity and cooperation, as well as to take effective measures that allow the political solution of the regional conflicts.

According to the program scheduled for November, the situation in Syria, Libya, Iraq, Lebanon, the Middle East, Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Sahel zone, and peace and security in Africa, will occupy several sessions of the Council.
