About 8,000 Migrants Travel Through Mexico on Their way to U.S.

Mexico - When the departure of another caravan of migrants from El Salvador is announced, it is calculated that about eight thousand Central Americans who intend to enter the United States are traveling through Mexico this Tuesday, according to press estimates here.
The first of the caravans managed to regroup in a stadium set up in Mexico City, whose capacity could be exceeded when there are more than four thousand people living there.
Four groups are underway, the last of them Salvadorans who are at the beginning of the road from Chiapas.
A hundred Central Americans who had been reported missing have already been located, but Édgar Corzo, general visitor of the National Human Rights Commission (CNDH) denounced the alleged disappearance of three buses (two in Puebla and one in Veracruz) with migrants.
For this reason, he made an urgent appeal to the corresponding authorities to carry out the respective investigations and to give an account of what really happened in view of the prevailing uncertainty in this regard.
The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) expressed concern about the information that has emerged and demanded that the Mexican authorities ensure the transit of the thousands of migrants who are part of the exodus, particularly on the journey between Veracruz and Puebla to Mexico City.
