The Aim for a Most Humanist Journalism

Ricardo Ronquillo, who is the national president of the Cuban Journalists Association, pointed out at the XIII Miguel Ángel de la Torre National Meeting of the Chronicle that is being carried out in Cienfuegos province, along the participation of contenders, professionals and students of journalism from the local universities and foreign guests.
“We also need to show the huamn angels of the histories and the events because I think we should explore and unite the rationality with the feelings to achieve communicative products which have an impact on our audiences.”
He also added we reached that trend in which the local mass media tried to be updated fast.
“They changed 15 or 20 times their front pages trying to publish immediate information with numbers and data.”
On that regard, Ricardo Ronquillo pointed out:
“The ones which had advanced more on Internet discover that they have to tell stories and human angels of them because the human histories are almost what the readers, radio listeners and tv viewers are most interest about.”
The participants in that event carried out a theorethical workshop with some papers on chronicles about Zumbado on the local Juventud Rebelde newspaper, journey and war by the journalist and professor, Roger Ricardo from the University of Havana.
In that same scenery, it was presented the book entitled´A la vuelta de la esquina´ by Jesús Arenciabia Lorenzo, who is a journalist of the Juventud Rebelde newspaper.
A floral wreath was laid before the grace of the illustrious chronicler from Cienfuegos province, Miguel Ángel de la Torre, which names that national event.
A related talk was announced for the upcoming Saturday where the chronicles of the contest will be shown and the best ones will be awarded as the event´s last activity.
Culture
Fidel's presence was recalled in several Ariguanabo centers and institutions. Students from the Eduardo Abela Vocational School of Art, located in San Antonio de los Baños, paid tribute to the leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro Ruz, through dance and music.
