''Bacanal de Títeres''

Los Cuenteros Theater Company will present part of its work at the 4th edition of the international event ''Bacanal de Títeres'', to be held from November 19 to 24, in Havana. ''Bacanal de Títeres'' is a theater event, aimed at publicizing the puppet theater for adults, since in Cuba the puppet theater is mostly for children.

The work of Los Cuenteros is not specifically with puppets for adults, but this time they have a different proposal: the musical show ''Títeres forever''. It is a cabaret with music from the 80s, pampered puppets, rod puppets, speakers, marotes. It is a very artistic demonstration of the masterfulness of the puppeteers from Los Cuenteros, who will perform on Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 10 o'clock at night, at the Bertold Brecht theater, at the Cabaret de Títeres.

Fifty years telling stories

The Los Cuenteros Puppet Theater Company celebrated its 50th anniversary this November 19 at the Museum of Humor, located in San Antonio de los Baños, with the exhibition ''Fifty years telling stories''. The exhibition shows photographs, puppets and costumes used by Los Cuenteros in various performances since 1969.

Cuban minister stress importance of culture for the fulfillment of Agenda 2030

Paris - Cuba’s Minister of Culture, Alpidio Alonso, assessed the role of culture in the United Nations Agenda 2030 for Sustainable Development, during a multilateral forum held ay UNESCO headquarters in Paris.

For the quality of teaching

"At the Eduardo Abela Villarreal Vocational Art School, located in San Antonio de los Baños, the quality of the teaching-educational process is prioritized," said Mirelis Ferrer Llanes, head of the General Teaching Department at this institution.
