Food production: a priority

Artemisa, Cuba - Farmers in San Antonio de los Baños work using methods and alternatives that maintain agricultural production, despite resource constraints in the agricultural sector.
The farmers, especially from the Cooperatives of Agricultural Production Antero Regalado, Jorge Dimitrov and Augusto Cesar Sandino, fulfill the plans for the production of vegetables, grains and fruit trees.
The peasant sector ratifies the need to multiply efforts to continue contributing to the political, social and economic development of the municipality. The producers are focused on the preparation of contracts for next year, taking into account the demand and the results achieved in 2018.
Omar Márquez Betancourt, president of the National Association of Small Farmers (ANAP) in the municipality, said that a plan of activities will be carried out in the productive forms, to pay homage to the 60th anniversary of the triumph of the Cuban Revolution and the promulgation of the Agrarian Reform Law.
The farmers will develop a broad political movement with the participation and support of the associates to pay tribute to Fidel, the greatest exponent of unity.
