Los Cuenteros Theater Company celebrated its 49th anniversary this November 19 at the opening of the 4th Bacanal de Títeres for adults 2018. The capital of the Cubans opened its doors to this prestigious group of puppeteers from San Antonio de los Baños. Just at three o'clock in the afternoon Palmiro, the main character of the Fantasía show, toured the Plaza Vieja in the historic center of the city.

At the inauguration of the Bacanal, they recognized the meritorious work of the ariguanabanese company during its 49 years of artistic life. They were praised for their mastery in the puppet manipulation and for the relevance of Los Cuenteros in the history of puppet theater in Cuba.

The troop of puppeteers, directed by Malawy Capote González, will continue their presentations, on the occasion of the puppet theater event for adults, on November 22, 23 and 24 at the Berthold Brecht cultural center in Havana.
