Int'l Event Links Childhood and Audiovisual Production in Cuba

Havana - With the aim of linking the new generations with the audiovisual production, the 31st International Meeting of the Network of Audiovisual Universe about Latin American and Caribbean Childhood, UNIAL Network, opens in Cuba this Monday.
Until December 6, the 'Juan Marinello' Cuban Institute for Cultural Research will host audiovisual filmmakers, community project coordinators, researchers and teenagers from countries such as Germany, Brazil, Argentina, Colombia, Chile, Spain and Italy.
Other venues of the meeting are the 'Jose Marti' International Institute of Journalism, the Association of Cuban Teachers and the Cuban United Nations Association.
According to organizers of the event, the meeting is the prelude to the International Festival of the New Latin American Cinema and seeks to promote the dissemination and production of more interactive materials.
This annual event will include an exhibit of recent audiovisual production from 2016 to 2018 made by and for children and adolescents from community, school, university and institutional projects.

The Los Cuenteros Puppet Theater Company celebrated its 50th anniversary this November 19 at the Museum of Humor, located in San Antonio de los Baños, with the exhibition ''Fifty years telling stories''. The exhibition shows photographs, puppets and costumes used by Los Cuenteros in various performances since 1969.
