Bolivian Government Approves Investment in Local Development in Oruro

Productive projects in 35 municipalities of the Bolivian department of Oruro will be executed after an investment of more than 21 million dollars was approved by President Evo Morales, local media reported on Monday.
The disbursement, corresponding to the Indigenous Development Fund (IDF), is intended to promote 85 local initiatives, including the purchase of machinery, the construction of bridges and irrigation systems, and was received by indigenous authorities, mayors and council people, the newspaper Cambio reported.
Morales congratulated the local authors of the productive projects that will improve the quality of life of more than 60,500 families in Oruro.
He stressed that the execution of small, medium and large projects in the national territory is possible due to economic liberation, a consequence of the nationalization of hydrocarbons and the main strategic companies of the State.
He specified that the mayors will contribute more than 10 million Bolivians (more than one million dollars) and the Government will allocate more than 140 million Bolivians (more than 20 million dollars).
