Cuba, Russia Parliamentarians Hold Talks in Havana

Havana - Parliamentarians of Russia and Cuban deputies discussed international issues in this capital on Thursday, reported the National People''s Power Assembly (ANPP).
According to the Assembly's website, the meeting took place at the Havana Capitol -the ANPP's institutional headquarters - where legislators exchanged views on the United States' policy of hostility at a global scale and the situation in Latin America, particularly Venezuela, the target of an attempted coup d'état led by Washington.
The meeting was attended on the Russian side by the vice president of the Communist Party, Yuri Afonin, who is also vice chairman of the Committee on Natural Resources, Property and Territorial Relations of the State Duma, and members of the Russian-Cuba Parliamentary Friendship Group Alexander Yushenko and Denis Grazhdaninov.
For the ANPP were attending the meeting parliament members Andres Castro, president of the Commission of Education, Culture, Science, Technology and Environment; Rolando Gonzalez, vice-president of the Commission of International Relations; and Arnaldo Tamayo, president of the Cuba-Russia Parliamentary Friendship Group.
Both parliamentarians agreed in describing the relations between Russia and Cuba as magnificent, and in emphasizing the importance of these exchanges.
