Cuban Show Wins Carlos Awards in Argentina

Buenos Aires - Autentica Cuba (''Authentic Cuba''), a show rooted in the music and dance of this Caribbean island, won four Carlos awards, which distinguish the best of theater in Villa Carlos Paz, in the Argentine province of Cordoba.
The musical, directed by Daniel Comba, won four awards in categories of best humorous work in show, best body of dance, costumes and best dancer for the young Cindy Fraga Duquesne, who in this category toppled Rosalia Alvarez (Tango corrupt, because we sing like this) and Agustina Villa (Fatima, is magic).
The ceremony gathered the best actors, actresses, comedians, dancers, musicians and directors of the theatrical world in the country for the awarding of the Carlos 2019 statuettes to the best theatrical productions in the summer season.
The Cuban music and dance show, in dinner show format, is presented from Thursday to Sunday at Oye Chico in Villa Carlos Paz, where every night Cuban rhythms beat in the hands of figures such as Ibrahim Ferrer Jr., the youngest son of the outstanding musician Ibrahim Ferrer (Buena Vista Social Club), and the singer Azuquita.
Eight Cubans and high level dancers are part of the work, moving the Malambo complex scenario.

The Los Cuenteros Puppet Theater Company celebrated its 50th anniversary this November 19 at the Museum of Humor, located in San Antonio de los Baños, with the exhibition ''Fifty years telling stories''. The exhibition shows photographs, puppets and costumes used by Los Cuenteros in various performances since 1969.
