Venezuelan Armed Forces Continue Development of Military Practices

Caracas - The Bolivarian National Armed Force (FANB) continues on Wednesday the development of the military exercises Bicentennial of Angostura, with the deployment of units cantoned in the Strategic Region of Integral Defense (REDI) Central.

The head of the FANB's Strategic Operational Command (Ceofanb), Remigio Ceballos, informed through the social network Twitter that the troops of the military corps will carry out immediate defense plans and occupation of blocking positions, in order to measure their operational readiness level.

He specified that this operation will cover various tactical objectives such as strengthening coastal defense and the fight against airborne threats, said the military high command.

The operations will include the participation of militia battalions of the Special Action Forces of the Central REDI, trained for the reconquest of air and beach heads.

Planned until February 15, the Bicentennial military exercises of Angostura aim to raise the fighting capacity of the different bodies of the FANB to ensure the defense of the sovereignty of the South American nation.

During the inauguration of the maneuvers last February 10, the president of Venezuela described them as the most important in the republican history of the country, 'in the face of the situation of real threat' by the U.S. government.

At the same time as supporting a parallel government represented by the deputy of the National Assembly (Parliament in contempt) Juan Guaidó, the administration of Donald Trump repeatedly stated that the use of military force is an option against Venezuela.
