Valencian solidarity at Ariguanabo

Artemisa, Cuba - A collaborative brigade of 21 Valencian, mainly youth and women, visit The municipality of this week as part of San Antonio de los Baños as part of the the relations between Spain and Cuba.

The contributors performed maintenance work on the nursery school "Semillitas del 2000" in this town. The brigade works with some parents, workers and the director of the institution Maria Cristina Cruz Tabares.

This issue has relevance in Cuba and worldwide, because it is a precious liquid that we must preserve especially today, when precipitation levels have decreased and, consequently, may be affected the water supply to the population, social and economic objectives. Alicia Alonso Visits Artemisa

Assoluta prima ballerina Alicia Alonso and Dr. Pedro Simon, opened in Artemisa the exhibition Meeting of Harmonies I: Alicia Alonso in Egypt as part of the activities to pay tribute to the tenth anniversary of Artv broadcasting station.

Seventeen impressions on pottery, a glass cabinet and a papyrus gifted to the dancer by Dulce Maria Loynaz( Poet and Cervantes Prize winner) , are part of the exhibition that includes moments when the great Cuban Ballet diva visited the distant country.

The attention to the Fighters of the Revolution is prioritized in Artemisa

Artemisa, Cuba - More than 14 000 members of the Association of Combatants of the Cuban Revolution in the province of Artemisa, receive a prioritized care for the Service Offices and the Institutions in the province.

About 2900 retirees receive the attention because they live alone, are suffering from chronic diseases, are bedridden or disabled, or are living in homes for the elderly grandparents.

Venezuelan President sends message to Fidel Castro

Havana, Cuba - Venezuelan president Nicolas Maduro sent a message to the historical leader of the Cuban Revolution Fidel Castro on the occasion of the celebrations for the 62nd anniversary of the attacks of the Moncada and Cespedes garrisons.

According to Granma newspaper, Maduro calls Fidel Father and Teacher of all revolutionaries and revolutions in Our America and the world and expresses his respect, love and admiration on the day that marks the beginning of the struggle that led to the Cuban Revolution triumph.
