Cuban President Calls for Constructive Criticism

Havana - President Raul Castro called for the constant use of constructive criticism in the context of the transformations being carried out today in the Caribbean island.

During a meeting of the Council of Ministers, the statesman reiterated the call to discuss in depth each measure and analyze everything done so far, to determine the small mistakes and correct them.

Innovator from Ariguanabo ready for their basic forum

San Antonio de los Baños, Artemisa, Cuba - The National Association for Innovation and Business at the Ariguanabo Clothing Unit, prepares its forum base, event where innovative participate.

Scientific achievements of the Tobacco Research Institute

Artemisa, Cuba.- The Tobacco Research Institute systematically obtained good results in production. In breeding `Corojo 2006´ variety grown under canvas and the sun provides. Introducing cytoplasmic male sterility in `Sancti Spiritus 2006´and increased the nitrogen fertilization for wrapper yields.

Moreover they obtained `Burley Pinar 2010´, the first Cuban variety resistant to wilt tobacco and `Criollo 2010´ new male sterile hybrid of Cuban black tobacco with commercial potential on the island.

Specialists study the air quality in Mariel

Artemisa, Cuba - A rigorous process of scientific studies to measure the air quality in the municipality of Mariel is executing by specialists of the Center for Monitoring the Atmosphere belonging to the Institute of Meteorology in Havana.

These studies are based in the identification of the main pollutants agents that affect human and environmental health of this territory that holds into its geography an extensive industrial area.

The formation of new generations: A permanent task

The school year is in final exams and therefore the study has to play a greater role. Do not forget that this is a requirement from the first school day and the systematic and gradual behavior according to the requirements of each student and the extent to which it is located, it determines the time to use.

Food production is a vital need for local development, in my opinion, much more in a town like San Antonio de los Baños, high level of productivity in agriculture, but it is the main objective of peasants.

Usually favorable results are obtained in different cooperatives, through the efforts of many producers, particularly in terms of root crops like sweet potato and taro, and on import substitution in the case of grains. Moreover, indicators as to have improved recruitment and delivery of meat and milk industry and wineries, which showed deficiencies in previous years and eradicated through reconciliation with suppliers.
