ACTAF announcement to Agroecological Journalism Competition
The Cuban Association of Agricultural and Forestry Technicians (ACTAF), calls for participation in the tenth edition of Agroecological Journalism Contest Alfredo Jordan in Memoriam.
May participate media journalists, media specialists, graphic designers and amateur photographers of all provinces. This competition for the first time will have a national character and aims to encourage and recognize the work of journalists, amateur photographers and graphic designers regarding the following topics: Agroecology, sustainable agriculture and organic production, care and conservation of our natural resources and environmental protection, diversification, integration and agricultural self-sufficiency, family in rural areas.
Looking for more natural foods
Agroecology is a major factor in Cuba for many organizations and their partners. A global strategies and changes are also developed to promote sustainable agriculture with agro-ecological bases. This involves challenges to traditional practices in food production, although it is not new.

Artemisa, Cuba - The Base Business Unit (UEB) of Carbide and Acetylene Alfredo Corcho Cintra of the municipality of Caimito in the province of Artemisa is carrying out right now a maintenance program in the area of the acetylene plant, which will allow henceforth fulfill with greater efficiency the planned plans.
