Artemisa, Cuba -The election authorities, supervisors and observers receive further training in the province of Artemisa, as part of the preparations that are getting ready for the partial elections.

Havana, Cuba - A provincial court in the western province of Artemisa punished seven citizens with jails sentences, including two life terms, after declaring them directly guilty and involved in the murder of four people during a plan for a pretended and illegal departure of the country.

Defendants Jorge Luis Salazar and Reinier Armas were given life sentences after planning a presumed and illegal departure of eleven persons with the aim of getting the money that those people would pay for their departure to the United States of America by sea; four of them were murdered in the act.

San Antonio de los Baños, Artemisa, Cuba- ''Let´s activate mental abilities": is the slogan of the cognitive therapy group on the elderly with memory disorder at the ariguanabense grandparents house by the Provincial Center for Comprehensive Community Care.

The house has 40 colleagues divided into two groups for consultations. In the therapy work the patient´s functions that can be preserved, such as memory, attention, language and in an atmosphere of effect. Meanwhile the municipal fellow university along with grandparents house collaborate through simple memory exercises to train their skills.

During a ceremony held at the own entity, the National Secretariat of the Central of Workers of Cuba(CTC) gave the condition of National Vanguard Collective to Rigoberto Corcho Basic Unit Enterprise of Cooperative Production (UBPC), in recognition of its remarkable productive results in planting sugar cane.

The cooperative workers reach a yield of 82 tons per hectare, they over-fulfilled the plan of delivery of sugar cane to the industry and work in several areas due to the diversification of production, including an organoponic of National Reference, a livestock module and the minindustria, among other lines of production.

Artemisa, Cuba - This year Artemisa’s farmers expect to increase milk production over 14 million 450 thousand liters, to reduce imports of this food, necessary in medically prescribed diets and under-age persons.

In interview offered to the National Information Agency (AIN), Lázara Martínez, provincial director of livestock in the Agricultural enterprise , spoke about the importance of diversifying animal food to achieve such goal , which has had some difficulties in the province.
