Raul Receives High Representative of the European Union
Havana, Cuba - Army General Raul Castro, President of the councils of State and Ministers, received Federica Mogherini, High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Vice-president of the European Commission, who is on an official visit to Cuba.
In a cordial atmosphere, on Tuesday, they spoke about the bonds existing between the European Union and Cuba. They coincided in the interest of developing relations of mutual respect, based on the purposes and principles of the U.N. Charter. Likewise, they spoke about issues of common interest on the international agenda.
Performed the sport forum of Science and Technology at Ariguanabo
The Sport Forum of Science and Technology was held at the Chess Academy Ana María Salgado in San Antonio de los Baños, with the goal of finding useful solutions that solve everyday problems.
Around 20 physical education teachers in the various sports disciplines attended the event which included the presentation of 10 work papers.

Artemisa, Cuba - The production of beans in the province of Artemisa which rise the 2 100 tons planned for this year, replace imports with savings to the State of more than two millions of dollars.

Perform gender workshop of rural women at Ariguanabo
San Antonio de los Baños, Artemisa, Cuba.- The process Anniversary 55 United for the Fatherland, the National Association of Small Farmers (ANAP) and the Federation of Cuban Women (FMC) of this town held a workshop genre of peasant women as part of the activities for the event.
The meeting was attended by over 40 women from different productive ways, who discussed topics such as sexuality, gender, sex, asexuality and takeover, among others.
Concluded satisfactorily candidate nomination process in Candelaria
Artemisa, Cuba - The process of nomination of candidates for delegates of the Popular Power, concluded in the town of Candelaria satisfactorily affirmed María del Carmen Hernández Hernández president of the municipal electoral commission.
Maria del Carmen explained that the days 16 and 17 were exhibited the voters lists and now are involved in the conciliation through all the CDR and the electoral districts together with the officers from the office of the identity card to correct errors that may exist.
Advance at good pace the academic year in Artemisa
Artemisa, Cuba - The academic year 2014 – 2015 advances in the province with better teaching coverage, biggest stability in assistance and less exodus of teachers that the previous year; however, should be strengthened the training of the staffs of professors, because, in addition to teaching contents, they form values and prepare politically and ideologically the learners.
