Havana, Cuba - The Cuban baseball team saw broken its streak of seven straight wins in the Can-Am League when losing 1-3 to the New Jersey Jackals.

Cuba achieved its fifth win in the competitive tour against teams from the Can-Am League when beating 4-2 the Sussex County Miners.

The same members of the men's team two years ago and some changes in the women’s squad will mark Cuban presentation at the World Chess Olympiad which the Azeri capital, Baku, will host between next September 1st and 14th.

Just as happened last year, Alfredo Despaigne, who is the Cuban baseball player from Granma province, is carrying out another outstanding baseball season this current year 2016 at the Professional league of Japan in which he is registering 290 as his average, along with 76 hits through 262 periods at batting.
