Crystal Palace Ready To Spoil Chelsea''s Premier League Title Party

London - Jose Mourinho has always held out his hand to Alan Pardew, inviting him to watch Chelsea train after Pardew was sacked by West Ham.

But, on Sunday, as Pardew takes Crystal Palace to Stamford Bridge, he is not sure how Mourinho will receive him.

"Last time we met I was at Newcastle," says Pardew. "Jose was pretty upset. We beat them 2-0. He didn´t come for a drink after that one. I hope he´s cheered up a little bit."

Cuba Opens US Basketball Camp

Havana - The National Basketball Association (NBA) opened in this capital a sports Camp aimed at supporting the development of basketball in Cuba.

Also protected by FIBA America and the local Federation, the event -being part of the Basketball without Border program- will end on Sunday, April 26, and provides a program of clinics and lectures for children, young basketball players and referees.

Cuba with 389 Athletes Classified for PanAm Games

Havana - Cuba has now 389 athletes who are classified in 30 sports for the next Pan American Games in Toronto, Canada, between July 10 and 26, said official sources Thursday.

In a conversation with Prensa Latina, Cuban Institute Sports and Physical Education (INDER) national director for High Performance Jose Antonio Miranda, said the number might be increased in the next days.

Cuba beats Armenia in World Chess Team Championships

Havana, Cuba - Cuba starred yesterday another high-flying performance by defeating Armenia in a match that included wins by Lazaro Bruzón and Yuniesky Quesada, which allowed them to remain at the forefront of the World Chess Team Championships.

One day after winning over the current champion Russia, in Tsaghkadzor, the Caribbean team beat 2.5-1.5 the host, totaling thus five points and remained at the top of the standings with Israel, which did the same against India.

Berlin - Bayern Munich head coach, Josep Guardiola, happy for his second title in the German Football League, today dedicated the victory to his players and said he postponed the celebration, due to upcoming engagements.

Moscow - The president of the international federation of football associations (FIFA) Joseph Blatter, is pleased with progress in Russia's preparations for hosting the 2018 World Football Cup finals.

At a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Sochi on today Blatter said Russia´s organizing committee and the country´s leader in person deserved five star appraisal for the work done so far to prepare for the global event.
