Havana - Authorities from Cuba and the United States yesterday evoked in this capital the life and work of the Apostle of the Caribbean country before an equestrian statue of the patriot, now common in both nations thanks to joint efforts.

Havana -The 27th International Book Fair, to take place in Cuba from February 1st to 11th, will have the participation of 40 countries and more than 400 foreign guests, said organizers today.

The Historian of the city of Havana, Dr. Eusebio Leal Spengler received on Wednesday in the Cuban capital the Patria Newspaper Award granted by the Jose Marti Cultural Society.

Since last Monday and the next January 25, th the 59th event of the Literary Awards of the Casa de la Américas center will be holding sessions in Havana and Cienfuegos provinces as one of the most prestigious events of its kind in the region.
