Ariguanabo at Havana Biennial

Artemisa, Cuba - Two ariguanabense artists participating at Havana Biennial. William Cruz and Arley Perera swell the list of the participants, is one of the most attractive editions of the prestigious event and show the public in a different way the combination of different symbols of world culture, through digital art.
According to William Cruz Perdomo, the exhibition's central theme the fusion of culture and society, with the aim of showing a new view on the world scene. The works are made of charcoal on canvas large format and manipulated, printed on photographic paper and digital photography are about a dozen works, which were launched this May 26th and will be available to the public until June 22nd.
Salvador Sanchez: We Come to Learn from You

Havana, Cuba - "We come to learn from you," said Salvadoran President Salvador Sanchez on Tuesday after the conclusion of the performance of the work Y sin embargo se mueve (And yet it moves), by the children's theater group La Colmenita.

Design for First Time at Havana Biennial

Paris - Cuban ambassador at UNESCO, Dulce Buergo, stressed that the cultural legacy of humanity is increasingly threatened by conflict and violence.
The increase of conflicts, violence, military interventions and illegal actions such as illegal trafficking of goods, are among the main threats, stated Buergo prior to a concert at the United Nations Education, Science and Culture Organization (UNESCO).
"Intentions" exposure at the municipal library

Cuban-US Project Interweaves Arts in Cuba

Havana - The world premiere of the Cuban-U.S. project "The light in Cuban eyes" exhibited a beautiful combination of arts: music, contemporary dance, ballet, photography, lighting design, costume and magic of a theater as the Marti.
The 12th Biennial of Havana was used as a pretext yesterday for the presentation of an initiative sponsored by U.S. researcher Madeleine Plonsker, an admirer of art of this island that compiled in a book a series of images by young Cuban photographers.
Culture
Fidel's presence was recalled in several Ariguanabo centers and institutions. Students from the Eduardo Abela Vocational School of Art, located in San Antonio de los Baños, paid tribute to the leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro Ruz, through dance and music.
