Cuban Film Conducta to be Screened in Spanish Circuit

Madrid - The Cuban prize-winning film "Conducta" (Behavior), by Ernesto Daranas, will be screened in the Spanish film circuit since June 5, said the distributor company European Dreams Factory.
The film, which has been awarded more than 30 prizes and numerous nominations, is promoted here as one of the Latin American films with more international prizes in the recent years, including its selection to represent Cuba at the Oscars this year.
Cuban Music Festival opens with many options

Havana, Cuba - The 19th International Cubadisco music festival opens its doors today in Havana to academic events and concerts by musicians from different countries of the world, including the Minnesota Symphonic Orchestra.
The festival, which runs till May 24, is dedicated to symphonic and choral music and to Russia, which is the guest country.
A concert by the Minnesota Symphonic Orchestra, with the participation of outstanding Cuban pianist Frank Fernandez and the Cuban National and Vocal choirs will open the most important music festival in Cuba tonight at the centrally located National Theater.
Cuba: Artists Mold Havana's Face in Biennial

Havana - Artists from various countries change today urban areas of this capital city on occasion of the 12th Biennial of Havana, the most important event of the plastic arts in Cuba.
"To participate in the event, artists were requested to place their works in an urban and social environment", said director of the event Jorge Fernandez.

Havana - The legacy of Jamaican musician Bob Marley will be the main subject of the 5th International Colloquium "The Cultural Diversity in the Caribbean" at the Casa de las Americas institution.
The seminary "Bob Marley: Time will Tell", will also take place, along with panels, exhibitions, workshops, theater plays, books, audiovisuals, concerts and performances until next Friday.
Havana’s 12th Art Biennial around the Corner

The 12th Art Biennial will kick off in the Cuban Capital from May 22n to June 22nd, providing a special space for the most renovating art in the world.
Since its establishment in 1984, the art gathering has been able to create spaces in the Cuban capital to host least privileged, not so well known and less visible projects, presenting for the first time new names and the arts of young artists, both from the island and abroad, leaving an imprint in contemporary art, critics, researches, art fans and people in general.
