Cuba Participates in UNESCO Meeting on Education Policies

Cuba participated on Tuesday in the International Symposium on Education Policies held at UNESCO, where topics such as school leadership, monitoring, evaluation and governance in the context of Agenda 2030 were addressed, Prensa Latina reported.
For the island, these aspects are fundamental priority in the face of the implementation process of the new Education Agenda 2030, commented members of the delegation, headed by Mercedes Escuredo, Director of Education of Camaguey province, and composed of representatives of the National Commission of UNESCO and officials of the permanent legation to the institution.
Septeto Nacional de Cuba to Perform with Orquesta Broadway

New York -The Septeto Nacional de Cuba will perform today at the Lehman Center for the Performing Arts in the Bronx along with the iconic Orquesta Broadway of New York.
In the show entitled íAl Rojo Vivo! will perform as guest artists the tres player Yadil Guerra and trumpeter Someillan Agustin, because some members of the Cuban band were unable to travel due to visa problems.

Work of Art by Cuban Visual Artist to be Moved to Lampedusa

Havana - The work of art ''Milagro'' by Cuban artist Alexis Leyva (Kcho), gifted by President Raul Castro to Pope Francis in September, will be moved to the Italian island of Lampedusa, according to a note released today.
Presented as a gift to the Pope on his visit to the Cuba, the work of art was originally placed in the Church of the Holy Cross in Agrigento, Sicily, and on January 17 will be moved to the largest of the Italian Pelagie islands.
