Artemisa, Cuba.- The Department of the International Film and Television School has published for eight years the ¨Enfoco¨ Magazine, whose number 50 was recently presented at the ¨1930 Hall¨ of Cuba's National Hotel . This number corresponds to a critical cartography of Latin American Cinema in 2015.

Madrid - The film Vestido de Novia (Wedding Dress), directed by Cuban filmmaker Marilyn Solaya, aspires to the prize of the 30th edition of the Goya Awards, announced today the Spanish Film Academy.
Solaya´s film competes in the category of Best Latin American Film facing The Clan, by Argentine Pablo Trapero; La Once (The Eleven) by Chilean Maite Alberdi and Magallanes (Magellan), by Peruvian Salvador del Solar.
Documentary on Cuban songwriter Carlos Varela premieres in Havana

Havana, Cuba - The documentary El poeta de La Habana, which includes 30 years of artistic life of the Cuban singer-songwriter Carlos Varela, will be premiered today in Cuba as part of the program of the 37th Havana Film Festival.
Filmed in Havana and directed by Canadian filmmaker Ron Chapman, from the concert Varela offered in January 2013 at the National Theater of Cuba, the audiovisual takes a journey through the work of the faithful exponent of the called Generation of Los Topos.
