Cuban Band Karamba To Perform in Colombian Hay Festival

Bogota - Cuban musical ensemble Karamba will perform in the famous Hay Festival of Cartagena de Indias, Colombia, confirmed today its leader Jorge Luis Robaina (aka Jorgito Karamba), who added that they will share the stage with Cuban singer Pedrito Calvo, an ex member of Van Van.
The band will play songs of their disc Un Puente hacia La Habana (A Bridge to Havana) during the party of ideas and words, scheduled for Jan. 28-31.

Santiago de Cuba - The citizens of Santiago de Cuba are eager to enjoy the presentation of the Puerto Rican singer Olga Tanon, in this city, next December 5 at the Plaza of the Revolution Antonio Maceo.

Havana - "La gozadera," by Puerto Rican singer, Marc Anthony, and Cuban band, Gente de Zona, won here two Lucas awards, for the best video clip of the year in Cuba, during a gala in which Spanish singer Enrique Iglesias was also awarded.
The Puerto Rican-Cuban mix swept this edition's competition to take home the most popular award and that to the better reggaeton and timbaton video music for a clip that has gone around the world, in which Latin America is honored.
Over 480 Pairs Dance in Giant "Rueda de Casino" in Cuba

Havana - A giant "rueda de casino," a Cuban choreography in which pairs of dancers dance salsa music in a circle, brought together here today about 964 people at an esplanade known as La Piragua in the Havana seawall, who danced in unison for 14.58 minutes, to try to set a world record.
Although they will have to wait a few days for the results, the 482 pair of dancers participating in this event were challenged to dance without making a mistake, in what became a party for love and worship to this musical genre.
Documentary Havana Formell: Feeling Proudly Cubans

Paris - Viewers were filled with loads of emotions during the screening of the documentary "Havana Formell" by French filmmaker Dominique Roland.
The documentary summarizes what Havana meant for the life and therefore the musical work of Juan Formell, founder of the orchestra Los Van Van, who died in 2014.
