Documentary on Cuba-Mexico Brotherhood to be Premiered in Havana

Havana - An audiovisual on the brotherhood ties between Cuba and Mexico, by the documentary maker Idalmis del Risco will be premiered in movies in the capital, announced the Cuban Institute of Cinematographic Art and Industry (Icaic).
The work of 81 minutes titled: Entre Cuba y México todo es bonito y sabroso (Between Cuba and Mexico everything is nice and tasty), will be premiered next March 26 in the Chaplin movie.
Concert in Havana Shows Cuban Support for Venezuela

Havana -The University of Havana’s staircase witnessed again a concert, this time in support for Venezuela, while other Cuban cities will host a similar event today.
In the open area on streets San Lazaro and L, before the famous University hill, a crowd sang and danced to reaffirm themselves as part of Bolivar’s Great Homeland.

San Antonio de los Baños, Artemisa, Cuba - The Provincial Contest "De donde crece la Palma" in its twentieth edition, unveiled the winners. The event aims to strengthen the patriotic, ethical and aesthetic values of our children and to encourage the appropriation of knowledge about the life and work of the Cuba's national hero, José Martí.
The contest is held in Candelaria, sponsored by the Provincial Directorate of Culture and Education and has national character. Most contestants are members of creative workshops leading by art instructors of the Cultural and student campuses in the city.
Italy Celebrates Filmaker Fernando Birri''s 90th Birthday

Rome - In homage to the 90th birthday of filmaker Fernando Birri, also known as the father of the latinamerican new cinema from today toMay there will be a retrospective shown in Casa Argentina in this capital.
The fil showing called 'Fernando Birri: 90 Years of militancy of the image', started showing 'Tire Dié',that in 1960 was his first film.
Other materials that will be presented are'Castagnino diario romano', of 1967 about the las stay in Italy of Argentinian paiter Juan Carlos Castagnino.

Santiago de Chile - Biographies of three presidents, doctor Michelle, lawyer Cristina and economist Dilma, are included in the book Presidentas ABC.
Journalists Lidia Baltra and Maura Brescia went deeply into the meritorious lives of Presidents of Argentina Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner, of Brazil Dilma Rousseff and of Chile Michelle Bachelet.
Cuban Leo Brouwer Nominated to Latin Songwriters Hall of Fame
Havana, Cuba - Cuban guitarist, orchestra director and composer Leo Brouwer, was nominated recently to be included in the Latin Songwriters Hall of Fame (Lshof), founded in 2012 to honor and acknowledge the work of the most important musicians of the region.
Along with other legends of this part of the world, the author of Un día de noviembre appears on the list in the category of composers, accompanied, among other figures, by Brazilian Erasmo Carlos, Chilean Alberto Plaza and Colombian Hector Ochoa.
