Washington - Culture has been a bridge of commitment between Cuba and the United States, Cuban ambassador Jose Ramon Cabañas said during the opening ceremony on Tuesday night of a festival that is being held an important U.S. institution in Washington.

Artemisa, Cuba - In Artemisa boulevard, from April 21 to May 12, 14 individual stands with artists of different manifestations will delight the public eager to enjoy, in their place of residence, Art for Mom craft fair.

Washington - The festival ''Artes de Cuba: From the Island to the World'', which gathers about 400 artists from that nation, opens its doors today in the United States with a show featuring music figures.

With a cheerful parade along 41 Avenue, in San Antonio de los Baños township , the XV edition of La Humoranga cultural event was inaugurated, one of the hallmarks of what has been called, rightly, "the most smiling town from Cuba".

The Municipal Library Punto y Coma in San Antonio de los Baños proposes a set of publications of different categories and publishers. According to the entity's administrator, Susana Pérez Cabrera, there are several books in the institution, among which stands out ''¿Quién le pone el cascabel al látigo?'', (Who puts the rattle to the whip?), by journalist Rodolfo Romero Reyes.

Havana - Artists from 18 countries are performing on the streets of Old Havana from today to April 15, as part of their participation at the International Dance Festival in Urban Landscapes.
