Havana - The Ministry of Culture of Cuba and the Ministry of Human Capacities of Hungary have signed a cultural cooperation agreement today in this capital, with a view to expanding exchanges among their peoples.

The video entitled’ Cabalgando con Fidel,’ which is identified with the occasion when the Cuban people pay their last respect to the mortal remains of the eternal leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro, was the first occasion of the contests’ prize ceremony of the local Radio entitled ‘Sonido para Ver,’ and the one entitled ‘ Cubavision 2017’ of the current year.

Paris - Cuba was elected to join the UNESCO Executive Board for the period 2017-2021, in the elections held today at the 39th General Conference of that United Nations organization.

The National Council of the Union of Writers and Artists of Cuba (UNEAC) held its Sixth meeting, November 9, in the Theater of Havana’s National Fine Arts Museum. The encounter was attended by PCC Political Bureau member Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, first vice president of the Councils of State and Ministers; Abel Prieto Jiménez, minister of Culture; Ena Elsa Velázquez, minister of Education (Mined); and UNEAC President, Miguel Barnet, among others.

Described as the party of the fantasy and science fiction, the Behique 2017 literature event will be held in Havana city from December 1st through the 2nd and it was organized by the DIALFA project and the Hispano-Americano culture center.
