Havana - The Cuban artist Rogelio Fundora today opens an exhibition in Havana of photographs of the leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro.

Paris - An exhibition of contemporary Cuban art, which brings together the work of 16 artists, was inaugurated today at the headquarters of UNESCO in Paris.
The exhibition, entitled Signs of Cuba: Women's Proposals expects to preserve the diverse and multiple, the convergence of various artistic languages, the uniqueness of contemporary Cuban art from various formal and conceptual approaches, expressed Lisandra Isabel García, curator of the exhibition.
US publishing industry players demand end of book blockade on Cuba

Havana, Cuba - Over 50 major representatives of the US publishing industry, authors and agents, petitioned the White House and Congress to end what they termed the Cuba Book Embargo, referring to the US blockade´s restrictions to send books and educational materials to the island.
Cuban Documentry Bola de Nieve at Toulouse Film Festival

Paris -The documentary Bola de Nieve: El Hombre Triste que Cantaba Alegre (2003) will be screened today at the Toulouse Latin American Film Festival.
The film, by director Jose Sanchez-Montes, seeks to bring people closer to the great Cuban musician Ignacio Villa, known as Bola de Nieve, by showing different aspects of his personality.
Organizers Arrange Last Details of Havana World Music Festival
Havana - In a few days will start the 3rd edition of the Havana World Music Festival (HWM). The artistic director, Eme Alfonso, shared the last details of the event.
The activities will take place on March 26 and 27 at the Cuban Art Factory, a cultural center that has received renowned personalities such as Billy Gibbons of ZZ Top and Major Lazer.
