National Chamber Music Festival Begins in Cuba

Villa Clara, Cuba - The 19th edition of the National Chamber Music Festival "A Tempo with Caturla" begins today in Cuba with the participation of two solid international figures, Leo Brouwer and Frank Fernandez.
The event, to be run until March 8 in this central province, will be dedicated to these two Cuban music figures.
The president of the event's organizing committee, Maykel Iglesias, stated that the presence of Brouwer and Fernandez here is a privilege and a honor.
Lost&Found, New Buena Vista Social Club CD

Havana -Cuban traditional music group Buena Vista Social Club will launchu in March its new album Lost&Found, which could be the last one of the project, its members said.
Lost&Found is a compilation of unreleased songs recorded throughout almost two decades since the founding of the group in 1996, when producer Ry Cooder gathered glories of Cuban music and recorded a CD becoming a musical phenomenon, as well as the documentary Wim Wenders produced about them.
Laureate Cuban Choreographer Irene Rodríguez Multiplies Creations

Havana - Cuban ballerina Irene Rodríguez, winner of the Iberoamerican Prize of Choreography 2012, will put several new creations on stage in the Marti Theater of this capital on March 6, 7 and 8, confirmed the artista and company director today.
Rodriguez will use all her company in Aldabal, a term announcing a place with a lot of knockers and thus, with numerous doors.
New Fernando Perez'' Film at Cuban Cinemas

Havana - The most recent film by renowned Cuban director Fernando Perez will be screened as of today in the country''s main cinemas, with a premonitory title of impact, "La pared de las palabras" (The Wall of Words).
The film deals with the phenomenon of isolation and the need for intrinsic expression of human beings, as of a screenplay by Susel Monet, who was inspired to write on the relationship of his own aunt with a child affected by a muscular dystonia.

The Culture House Raymundo Valenzuela in San Antonio de los Baños attends the artistic and creative interests of fans in different manifestations. The Dead Daisies to Give Historic Concert in Cuba
Havana - U.S. rock band The Dead Daisies will give today the first of two concerts in Havana, where they came decided to lay bridges with Cuban music.
This band, bringing together stars from other groups such as The Rolling Stones, Guns N' Roses, and Ozzy Osbourne, will bring a proposal dedicated to peace at this capital's Maxim Rock hall.
