Madrid - The Spanish hotel chain Melia defended its operations in Cuba and condemned the tightening of the economic sanctions imposed by the United States on the Caribbean nation, local media reported on Thursday.

Washington - On Wednesday, US National Security Advisor John Bolton will officially announce the decision to enforce Title III of the Helms-Burton Act and to implement other measures against Cuba, according to local media.

During the dawn hours today, reported was the kidnapping of two Cuban health care collaborators offering their services in the county of Mandera in the Republic of Kenya. The collaborators are Assel Herrera Correa, Comprehensive General Medicine specialist from the province of Las Tunas, and Landy Rodríguez Hernández, surgical specialist from the province of Villa Clara.
