Artemisa will rise into higher steps

Artemisa, Cuba - The capital municipality of the province of Artemisa changes day by day. Various are the objects of work that make progress. For example the capital repairs in the movie theater Juárez and in the House of the Young Creator are some of them.

The theater will be transformed into a building with conditions for cultural presentations of all kinds: showing of movies, theater and dance presentations, concerts and others. It will be a place of cultural and spiritual enjoyment.

Fidel Castro Meets Reverend Joan Campbell

Havana - Cuban Revolution leader Fidel Castro received on Thursday the Reverend Joan Campbell, who is visiting the island on the invitation of the Evangelic Theology Seminary located in the western province of Matanzas.

During the meeting, Fidel and the distinguished visitor addressed different issues in an environment of friendship relations forged over the years given the countless gestures of support by the Reverend for the Cuban people, Granma newspaper reported on Friday.

CELAC-EU Summit Rejects Blockade on Cuba, Extraterritorial Effects

Brussels - The final declaration of the Summit of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC) and the European Union (EU), to be concluded today here, rejects the blockade on Cuba and its extraterritorial effects.

The document states that the provisions included in the Helms-Burton Act have caused humanitarian damages to the Cuban people and affected the development of economic relations among the Caribbean nation, the EU and other countries.

The transport unit of Candelaria, an example to follow

Artemisa, Cuba – The Business Unit of Transport of the municipality of Candelaria remains as one of the best units of its kind in the province; the unity between the staff of workers and the individual responsibility ensure the over-fulfillment of the efficiency indicators.

Ricardo Iglesias Valdés, its director, said that currently they have 11 buses used to transport passengers, all of them a little big old but in optimal condition to be used due to the permanent dedication of drivers and mechanics who do not neglect even for a moment the inspections and repairs on time.

Cuba to Show Development of Vaccines in CNIC 2015 Congress

Havana- The development of vaccines in Cuba against infectious diseases will be one of the subjects of the International Congress of the National Center for Scientific Research, CNIC 2015, from June 22 to 26 in Havana.
According to the organizing committee other issues of CNIC 2015 are related to health implementation of ozone, management of waste in the pharmaceutic industry, natural products to treat inflammatory and chronic diseases, as well as advances and prospects of the design of finished pharmaceutic products.
