Cuban workers play a major role in its efforts to ensure economic progress of the revolution, socialism and have a leading role in the defense of the main achievements of the country.

They are different, in my opinion, the battles that we fight every day who works in Cuba. Our nation lives today changes in the economic, social and political, develop an electoral process that will be the basis of a new representation of Cubans in the Municipal Assembly of People's Power. We also develop new forms of economic management, new ways to further boost the self-employment that has given so much fruit to the economy.

Since 1961, it is a reality that seeks to prevent the will of the Cuban people to decide their future. Many sectors of society who face the damages, including health, education, sports, agriculture, culture, has been imposed on all the creativity and commitment to not give up and not be submitted.

The siege of Washington is economic, commercial and financial. The imperial impotence decided by the people. In the case of our country economic losses amounting to millions of dollars, the freezing of the funds of the existing Cuban State in US banks, in conjunction with the financial siege is aimed at stifling the economy. However, the Revolution of January 1^st goes ahead and is unstoppable pace, its light radiates and irrefutable truth that will hurt America.

Havana, Cuba - Nearly one million Cubans are expected to march May Day on Havana´s Revolution Square, venue of celebrations tomorrow for International Worker´s Day.

The huge march will open with a bloc of health professionals, who have carried out an outstanding work in other countries of the world, PL news agency reported.

Artemisa - The Tenth May Day Brigade, comprised of more than 230 members from 25 countries, begins today its program of solidarity activities in Cuba, including its participation in the parade to celebrate the International Workers'' Day.

According to the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples, this solidarity contingent will begin its agenda of activities at the Julio Antonio Mella International Camp, located in the western province of Artemisa, where the group will receive lecture on the Cuban situation and reality, and will perform voluntary work in agriculture.

Artemisa, Cuba.- The Union of Cuba Journalists (UPEC) held its annual balance in Artemisa province, with its members represented in the media ARTV, Artemisa Radio, the newspaper "El Artemiseño" and Ariguanabo Radio.
