Artemisa, Cuba - The day began very early in the morning in schools all over Artemisa province. Teachers as dream makers, are waiting for students eager to new experience and full of expectations. Again classrooms become halls for inter changes and discoveries.
In order to have schools ready to begin the new course, during the last days of August, while some persons were enjoying their vacations , a group of teachers, parents and students went to 375 schools to clean them and have them ready, besides the Art school (EPA) and two Sports school (EPEF and Eide).

Hanoi - Cuba's President, Raul Castro, congratulated the Vietnamese Communist Party, government and people on occasion of the celebration on September 2 of the 70th anniversary of the independence of this nation.
I extend our sincere and fraternal congratulations on behalf of the Cuban Communist Party, government and people, Raul Castro said in the message addressed to that organization's general secretary, Nguyen Phu Trong, the country's President, Truong Tan Sang, and Prime Minister, Nguyen Tan Dung.
September, another January to Learn
Who will be my math teacher ? Has the biology lab been assembled to begin the course? How will I deal with Physics and Chemistry? Surely today hundreds of thousands of students found the answers to these and other questions, in primary, secondary, pre-university, polytechnic schools or the University in Artemisa province.
This is the day to return, or to know the new school, new friends, upcoming challenges over the next months. No matter the classroom , workshop or brainstorming, if they are the first few letters or numbers and variables, the essential thing is the will to teach or learn.
Concluded the summer time in Artemisa
Artemisa, Cuba - With a varied program of cultural activities this weekend, concluded in Artemisa the program developed in the territory for the summer season.
There were recreational options for everyone. The kids were privileged, but the young people and adults also had possibilities for recreation and instruction.
Díaz-Canel meets with Russian authorities
Cuban First Vice President Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez arrived in Moscow yesterday en route to Beijing, and was received by Valentina Matvienko, President of the Russian Federation Council; Dimitri Rogozin, government vice president and co-president of the Russia-Cuba Intergovernmental Commission; as well as Ivan Mielnikov, first vice president of the Duma.
Back to school!
A new academic year begins tomorrow September 1 in Cuba, with almost two million students set to attend schools at the elementary, secondary, and university levels. Teaching and support staff are committed to continue raising the quality of instruction and focusing on the comprehensive development of students, with a commitment not only to rigorous academic standards but also the acquisition of values and tools with which to understand the world – that is the development of civic-minded, ethical individuals capable of transforming current realities.
