Farmers from Güira de Melena with new challenges for 2015
Artemisa, Cuba -The Farmers Association of the municipality of Güira de Melena in the province of Artemisa are in the final stages of settling the details in order to end the year with good results, improving the achievements and working in the solutions of the shortcomings of the 3 Agricultural Production Cooperatives and the 8 Cooperatives of Credit and Services they have in the territory.
Among the major accomplishments during this 2014 is the completion of the staff of the leaders in the different cooperatives, who receive the necessary training in order to enhance knowledge. Due to the new sources of employment and the number of hired staff, was increased the number of members by cooperatives as Niceto Pérez and Países Nórdicos.
Cuban Immigrants in the US Support Restoring Relations
The research, conducted by the firm Bendixen & Amandi International and published by various media outlets in South Florida, showed that the new executive actions Obama have greater support among younger generations of Cuban immigrants, even born United States of parents from the island.
But separating results by age, among those under 65 years is majority support (18 to 29 years, 53 percent versus 36; 30 to 49 years, 47 percent versus 45; 50-64 years 58 percent versus 38), and the situation is reversed only among older (just 25 percent versus 67).

Havana - Cuban President Raul Castro attended the closing ceremony of the 4th Ordinary Period of the 8th Legislature of the National People''s Power Assembly (Parliament).

We Always Had the Conviction of Our Return, Says Cuban Antiterrorist

Havana -Cuban antiterrorist Ramon Labañino pointed out that he had always believed in the time for their return and happiness, because he never lost the conviction that he would return to his homeland, to his family and his people.
Labañino, Gerardo Hernandez and Antonio Guerrero, the three Cuban antiterrorist fighters who still remained held in US prisons 16 years after their arrests in the city of Miami, arrived in Havana on December 17.
Cuban Parliament to Adopt Economic Plan and Budget for 2015
Havana, Cuba - The Cuban National Assembly of People´s Power (Parliament) will consider the approval today of main documents for Cuban economy in 2015 during the 4th Session of the 8th Legislature taking place at Havana´s Convention Centre.
Some 600 lawmakers from all 168 Cuban municipalities will debate the economic results in 2014 and the draft economic plan for next year. They will also evaluate the budge performance and approve the new Budget Law.
