Normalization of Cuba-US Ties, Cuban Antiterrorists Return Stressed
Havana - The announcement made simultaneously by Cuba and the United States on the normalization of bilateral relations and the return home of three Cuban antiterrorists unjustly held in US prisons since 1998 made headlines in Cuba.
On Wednesday, at midday, Presidents Raul Castro and Barack Obama took the first step towards the normalization and reestablishment of diplomatic relations, characterized by ruptures and tensions for more than half a century, and by the White House's hostile policy against Cuba.
Candelaria will host the main activities for the anniversary 56 of the Triumph of the Revolution
Artemisa, Cuba - The Provincial Bureau of the Party decided to grant the host of the central activities for the anniversary 56 of the Triumph of the Revolution to the municipality of Candelaria, due to the results achieved during the year in the economic, political and social order.
In this municipality have been restored several cultural facilities and social works of great impact on the popular satisfaction. In addition, the Company of Commerce, Gastronomy and Services of the territory was the first in the province to fulfill the plan of mercantile circulation and they also excelled in the selling of construction materials.

Since my election as President of the State Council and Council of Ministers I have reiterated in many occasions our willingness to hold a respectful dialogue with the United States on the basis of sovereign equality, in order to deal reciprocally with a wide variety of topics without detriment to the national Independence and self-determination of our people.
Cuban, Bolivian Heads of State Meet in Havana
Havana - Cuba''s President Raul Castro met his counterpart from Bolivia, Evo Morales, who attended in Havana at the 13th Summit of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America-People´s Trade Treaty (ALBA-TCP).
During the meeting the two leaders exchanged views on bilateral cooperation projects and agreed that relations have reached a high level, said an official statement issued here.
President Raul Castro to Speak on Cuba-US Relations at Noon
Havana, Cuba - Cuban president Raul Castro will address the nation on a televised speech at noon this Wednesday on the Cuba-US relations.
The speech will be broadcast through all Cuban media, including TV channels, radio stations and online publications.
Plenty to do in December
Since 1959, every January 1 st has been a rejoicing day for all Cubans. Since 2011, every January 9th , Artemisa province´s foundation date , has become a day of celebration for Artemisa settlers .
