Cuban Doctor under Ebola Treatment Keeps Making Progress

 HAVANA, Cuba, Nov 29 (acn) Cuban doctor Felix Baez, who got infected with the Ebola virus, continues to make progress each day as revealed in latest medical tests.

A communiqué issued by the Geneva-based Univeristy Hospital where the doctor is being treated says that Baez is still weak, but he is making progress and taking his food normally. This favorable process must be ratified with further exams, the report explains.

Began pre-day on adolescence, sexuality and mental health in Artemisa

Artemisa, Cuba -The sexuality at different stages of life, phases, characteristics, main problems and their counteract, were subjects of the first conference for the scientific program of the course on adolescence, sexuality and mental health of the Faculty of Medical Science that was held in the Mausoleum to the Martyrs of Artemis, last Monday.

The meeting included four exhibitions, related to the mentioned topics and each of them particularized aspects of the prenatal process, infancy, preschool stage, school stage, early, middle and late adolescence, youth, young adult, middle-aged and old age.

Cuban FM Welcomes His Spanish Counterpart

Havana -The Cuban Foreign Affairs Minister, Bruno Rodriguez received today his Spanish counterpart, Jose Manuel Garcia Margallo, who joined an official visit to the Caribbean country.

As part of the agenda of the diplomatic he met the Vice president of the Council of Ministers, Ricardo Cabrisas.

During the meeting they talked about the perspectives of bilateral relations, specially in the economic, commercial and investment spheres, according to an official note.

They also tackled issues of the international agenda such as the challenges imposed by the current global economic crisis.

Initiated campaign of vaccination against influenza

Artemisa, Cuba -The beginning of the campaign of vaccination against flu is one of the actions developing by professionals from the Ministry of Public Health in our country to reduce acute respiratory infections and the province of Artemisa is inserted this task that began this Tuesday, November 25,  throughout the national territory.

The persons with more than 85 years of age, who are institutionalized in nursing homes for old people and grandparents homes and cases with cerebral palsy, are some of the ones that made up this group of risk which is going to receive the vaccination.

Behavior of ariguanabense young people involved in food production

Artemisa-Cuba - The National Association of Small Farmers (ANAP) in the territory considered all productive entities with youthful strength linked to food production.

Arley Carcasés Gainza, ANAP president states that in the territory are 10 productive entities, 3 of them are Agricultural Production Cooperatives and 7 Credit and Services, he also adds that 177 young people join to the cooperative and peasant movements, most of them works directly in the groove and board these productive ways.
