Authorities of Cuba and of the U.S. State of Louisiana signed on Havana on Tuesday, for the first time, memorandums of understanding in the agricultural and port sectors.

Geneva -Cuba guarantees particular attention to people with disabilities, based on the support of government institutions and civil society, according to reports delivered during the Social Forum that continues today in Geneva.

Cuba and the United States work on the negotiation of six new cooperation agreements in areas such as the implementation and enforcement of law, seismic monitoring and the exchange of meteorological information, said Josefina Vidal, general director for the United States of the Cuban Foreign Ministry.

Havana-Cuban Civil Defense has established the hurricane warning stage for the country's five eastern provinces, from Camagüey to Guantánamo, saying Hurricane Matthew will begin to affect the region Monday afternoon. 

Cuba and the United States will hold today in Washington the 4th Meeting of the Bilateral Commission.
