Cuban Culture Figure Analyzes Ties with USA

Santiago, Chile - Miguel Barnet, multifaceted figure of Cuban culture and winner of many international awards, analyzed positively today the restoration of his country's relations with the United States.
In an exclusive interview with Prensa Latina, the current president of the National Union of Writers and Artists of Cuba (UNEAC) stressed that those ties should be designed with equality, mutual respect, and balance.
Provincial UNEAC calls to JUNTARTE contest
Artemis, Cuba- The Committee of the National Union of Writers and Artists of Cuba in Artemisa, summons the radio, film and television edition get together with the purpose of stimulating the realization in the media for promotion of provincial and universal culture.
All directors of radio, television and cinema from Artemisa province may participate, whether or not UNEAC members, whether or not linked to the media except members of the organizing committee. Each author will compete up to three works regardless of gender, with a maximum of thirty minutes and to promote culture in its various manifestations.
Artistic expressions and forming functions
Artemisa, Cuba -To encourage the promotion and dissemination of artistic expressions to the forming work of art instructors, integrates and helps stimulate cultural life in the community.
The development of creative workshops and artistic appreciation for each demonstration encourages art aesthetic taste of creativity, sharing culture and values of the participants from the expression of the artist's experiences and relationship, public and work.
Subsidiary of the Cuban Cultural Fund surpassing its sales plan
Artemisa, Cuba.- By the end of July the subsidiary Artemisa-Mayabeque the Cuban Cultural Fund of the town overfulfilled the income plan to 133 percent.
During that month, the institution obtained large profits contracts, through companies such as the Workers' Central Union of Cuba at national level, the restoration of the History Museum, the Boulevard and the music house in Artemisa.

The Provincial Center of Visual Arts Eduardo Abela presented the book "Tertulia habanera, my precious memories at the piano" by the ariguanabense Othoniel Rodriguez.
The work is the result of the weekly section available to the author in the Journal of Notice Canary Islands, where he lives. Regarding the issue said Sandalio Camblort, UNEAC president in the territory and friend of the pianist, who also gave him the poems book "The Cathedral of nostalgia" of his own.
